Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens

Message: What a beautiful oasis downtown Ormond beach. The entry fee is a donation and well worth it to support this amazing place. The gardens were beautifully maintained and nice and shady even on a hot day. Loved the waterfall and the kaleidoscope. We cooled off inside enjoying a great art exhibit and they have a cute little shop with adorable gifts and jewelry. I never could say no to a pair of earrings.

Message: The Ormond Memorial Gardens have always been a favorite place to visit for my family, but the new museum and artwork add so much to our visits! I loved exploring and finding new details. I highly recommend it if you haven't been!

Message: Wonderful experience. The garden has a paved walk that can be enjoyed by everyone, and it is a photographer's dream! The museum is spacious, the exhibit delightful, and it provides respite on a hot Florida day.

Message: This garden has a lot to offer and an abundance of shade. It’s walkways have a lot of native Florida plants and a big gazebo that is available for event rentals.

Message: Great little art museum with a beautiful garden around it. Had a wonderful time looking at all the art. My son especially loved the turtle pond.

Message: We did not go inside the museum. We just wanted to see the gardens outside. There is a pretty waterfall near the entrance, and lots of pretty scenery of palm trees and greenery along the paths. We didn't see many flowers when we visited in January, but maybe there are more in the spring and summer.

Message: I’m a big museum person, especially when the cost of admissions is minimal or nonexistent. In this case, it’s completely free to visit the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens! Though they do appreciate donations.. My favorite part of this place is most definitely the gardens. They aren’t huge, but you can easily still get lost walking around them. There are a couple of bamboo forests that are so peaceful and pleasant to listen to when the breeze blows through them. You can also find some hidden creeks, gazebos, and gorgeous flowers intermittently. And don’t miss the waterfall right at the front of the gardens next to the museum! The museum itself is very small. It’s all mostly based on a veteran named Malcom Fraser, who started using art as an outlet and teaching instrument after coming back from war. His paintings all have very religious themes and are so beautiful and emotional. You can find a few other artists’ work scattered about, but his certainly take front and center. And it’s pretty neat reading about his backstory.. It doesn’t take long at all to go through all the art, you would at most need an hour if you’re wanting to walk through the gardens as well, and even that’s putting it liberally. I’m not sure I’d come back now that I’ve been, but I’d definitely visit if you’re in the area and have some spare time!
